Any Cryptopay client of legal age can verify his/her account. The verification procedure at Cryptopay gives a client some additional bonuses – verified clients have increased card load and withdrawal limits, bigger number of loads and unloads per day etc. See detailed info.
Important: Before you start verification procedure, please, check if your country is eligible to use Cryptopay services. Citizens of countries from this list can easily verify their accounts and use Cryptopay debit cards.
The verification consists of two stages:
- Verification of identity
- Verification of residential address
1. For identity verification the following documents are accepted: passport, driver’s license or national ID card. A document submitted must still be valid for at least 6 months on the date of application. One may submit a high-quality photo or scan of a document. It is obligatory to upload images/scans of both sides for double-sided documents.
2. For address verification the following documents are accepted: utility bills, bank statements, tax invoices or different residential statements/certificates, issued by a government. A document must contain full name of a person, his/her full home address and be issued not earlier than 3 months ago on the date of application. Both paper documents and electronic documents (in PDF) are accepted.
Please notice: we'd like to specifically point out that photos taken with a CamScanner app are forbidden for verification due to terrible interaction with automated legitimacy checks.
(!) The following types of documents are not accepted as a proof of address: mobile phone bills, credit card statements, all kinds of documents, related to credits, loans and insurance.
(!) Documents with PO Box addresses are not accepted.
There are also some strict requirements for the quality and the size of your documents:
a) Document’s scan/photo cannot be compressed or resized. A document with the size of less than 500Kb will not be accepted. Photo/scan of a document must be complete.
b) Blurred images are not accepted – all document details must be clearly visible.
c) Documents, altered in graphic editors, fake documents are not accepted.
d) In some cases, our compliance team has the right to request an additional identity/address document from a client to supplement his/her application or to request a selfie of a person with his/her documents in hands.
Important: Documents with non-latin characters (hieroglyphs, Arabic characters etc.) must be coupled with certified translation into English. The translated document must be sealed and signed by a certified and authorised translator.
